Aircraft Spins Wildly into Palm Fronds at Frequented California Shoreline
An aircraft hovering over a crowded California shoreline unexpectedly began spiraling uncontrollably, finally dropping height and smashing into a cluster of palm trees as onlookers watched.
Recordings posted on social media show the chopper commencing to spiral near Huntington Beach then plunging in the direction of the border of the shore, where it gets stuck amidst palm trees and a staircase close to the shoreline route.
Rescue Operation Update
Emergency responders said five people were transported to a medical facility including a pair who were in the aircraft and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” after the accident on Saturday.
Three people on the road were harmed. Specifics on their injuries were still under review.
The cause of the crash was still under investigation.
